Review of Luke's Dream by Melissa Haag

Luke’s Dream by Melissa Haag is an awesome addition to the Judgement of Six Series providing readers with Luke’s version of what occurred during (Un)Wise, which was told from Bethi’s point of view.

As in (Un)Wise, the main characters are predominately Bethi, and Luke, but we see the rest of the gang from the other books as well. If you loved the characters in the Judgement of Six Series, you will love them even more in Luke’s Dream! Melissa reveals sides of them that we had not seen in the other books.

I really liked Luke in Hope(less) and (Un)Wise. He was sexy, cocky, mysterious, witty and funny. In Luke’s Dream, he is SO MUCH MORE! I have come to completely love Luke. I liked seeing that he had a softer and caring side and I loved seeing his struggle with wanting Bethi so badly, but needing to do the right thing.

Bethi is a troubled 17-year-old girl running away from home because to protect her mother from the danger she knows is coming. Bethi is plagued with dreams of past lives of herself and her fellow Judgements. She is brave, frightened, caring, determined, capable, self-conscious and majorly sleep-deprived. I loved seeing her through Luke’s eyes, which was awesome.

The book flows nicely between, mystery, action and building romance. Even though I knew what would happen, I found myself routing for Luke and being devastated when things did not go as he hoped that they would.

I love companion books when the first book is written from one point of view. They provide insight into the other side of the story and this one gives the other side of the story and additional information that left me stunned!

I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait for the next in the series!
