Collateral Damage is an Amazing Story that discusses a very serious topic. I loved how the author connected the book to the first book but made it an independent book at the same time. I do think that I appreciated the book more because I read and reread the first story because I loved it so much it. I loved that Collateral Damage written from the point of view of the friend and family member to the character in the first story, who was going through a horrible time. You don’t often read about what a friend or family member is going through when a loved one is literally being ripped apart! How it effects everyone’s life and not just that one person. I loved the story that was going on separate but a part of the first story!
I think Daisy who is Emma’s best friend and Tucker Emma’s brother are awesome characters. The author was able to convey their thoughts and feelings for Emma and those around them at any given time. The author also did a nice job in describing in detail everything going on. The book was fast past. I was extremely interested in the story that Tucker had going on that didn’t include Daisy as someone he supposedly cared for. I thought this story emphasized how important it is to have the support from friends and family when everything is going to hell.
I really like how the author discussed other characters as important individuals in these books and how or why another book could be written. I am sure it would be just as good as the first book and this one! I think this book deserves five stars!!!!!!!!!
