Starting this book with the knowledge that this isn't the kind of book I normally read I wanted to keep an open mind. After reading the story I feel that it was well written! The story follows two retired army men on their everyday routines and aliens come and try to take their town over. The government wants everyone to leave their homes and the lives they have always known and these two men decide they are going to fight. They begin a journey to gather the things they need to survive and fight. They gain valuable knowledge about the aliens doing so. They also begin to use the aliens own bombs against them to take down vital parts the aliens are trying to build to take over the planet. This end with you wanting to know more and what happens next. You anticipate the following book in the series to continue the story. I believe the author of this novel thought this beginning book to his series out well! It is wrote in a way that even if it isn't your regular type if book you will be completely captivated in the story! I rate this book with five stars I really enjoyed it!
