K.M. Neuhold delivers a deep and emotional story focusing on quirky and sweet gestures, overcoming insecurities and finding out who you truly are and what your purpose in life is in this second installment of the Sexy Nerd Boys series!!

I totally thought that the first book took on a theme of "Don't Judge a Book by It's Cover" and this one fits right into the same category, maybe even more so than the first. Asher Wright is known as the quintessential bad boy - covered in tattoos, lip piercing and possibly more, longer hair, wears a beanie and has a rock star vibe. But underneath that layer is a serious nerd! An astrophysics major that has a sleeve of celestial tattoos on his arm and was the star of mathletes. But no one seems to see the real man and that's the story of his life. He's always been the one that girls wanted to bed but never wanted to take home to meet their parents. He became a notch in their bedpost because woman only seemed to want him because of his "bad boy" image. Coming from the wrong side of the tracks and living in a trailer park, he never really knew how to get away from the image people seemed to shove on him. And he only wants to be seen for who he really is - a smart and gorgeous man with an edge full of corny jokes and a huge heart who always wanted to rescue bunnies and help people. Who wouldn't love the real man?

Eve Moore has grown up in a sheltered life where she was homeschooled due to her family's religious beliefs and wasn't allowed to ask questions because they didn't want her to be influenced by ungodly things. But she decided that she wanted to go to college and find out what the world had to offer outside of her norm. Going to college at eighteen without any life experience turns out to be an interesting road. We get to see the world through her eyes. Things we take for granted on a daily basis like TV series, piercings, tattoos, tight provocative clothing and public displays of affection have never even crossed her radar. And she's very eager to jump in and find out how she fits into the world. She's always been told what to do and this is her chance to explore. After striking up a friendship with Asher, we get to watch Eve experience new things with him by her side.

I enjoyed watching Asher and Eve together. Asher likes to tell corny jokes that had me laughing out loud. He has interesting t-shirts that Eve ends up wearing. The text messages between the two are entertaining and sometimes very hot. The progression of their sexual exploration is very hot and steamy. There are many scenes throughout the book but it's not over the top. It's fun to watch her experience some of her firsts with Asher because their chemistry is off the charts and Eve always seems to jump into the situations head first and with gusto.

I loved seeing all the characters from the first book mingling again and getting updates on their lives at this point. The interaction between the main characters and the secondary characters only adds more depth in this series and there tight-knit group makes you want to be a part of it. Abby and Ethan's dreams are coming true, Nikki and Lee are going strong and even Remy has some redeeming qualities in this book which makes me root for her own happiness. Neuhold also does a great job introducing us to new secondary characters such as Eve's roommate Hadley and develops a storyline for Asher's roommate Dex. I hope that both of these characters will get their voices heard in their own stories.

With that being said, this book can totally be read as a standalone. The author gives you enough background on the secondary characters that you are not lost in this book. I just enjoyed reminiscing with the characters from the first book in the series and seeing how their lives have progressed since!

I totally loved this book! Neuhold grasped my heartstrings and kept tugging until I had made it to the last page in one sitting. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough as I wanted to watch Asher and Eve discover life, love and happiness while enduring some hiccups and obstacles along the way. This kind of love story always brings a smile to your face and feels your heart with cheer and joy.

Highly recommend this book! Asher Wright is totally book boyfriend material! Can't wait to meet the next "Sexy Nerd Boy"!
