Thirty Happens by Elizabeth Butts is an amazing read about a woman that is closing in on Thirty and reflects back on her life and the choices she makes and the things that were out of her control.

Karyn Jenson is a 29 year old woman, that is soon to be married and has the job of reporting for her local newspaper. But that isn't what she had in mind for herself. We follow along as she reminisces about everything that led her to this point in her life. The good, the bad, the ugly, and the sad all culminate to place her where she is. The prestigious internship at one of the top newspapers, the highest honor of college graduates, the position offered as permanent for the paper, the devastation of personal hardships, and finally making a choice that no one should ever be asked to make. Her friends and family are a Crack up and definitely play a big part in this story. 4 beautiful stars to Elizabeth Butts for telling this funny, heartbreaking at times, and honest story of a person that finds herself staring at 30 and wondering what happened!!
