Fury Frayed by Melissa Haag is a fun, adventurous tale that begins
to unravel the mysteries behind a hidden town, an abandoned teen with major
anger issues and an academy full of mythical creatures.
Megan, the main character, must discover who she is while
attempting to navigate an unknown world full of danger. She immediately meets a
cute guy, infuriates his mean-girls’ harem, gets thrown into a new and very
high school cliquish academy, and stumbles almost literally upon a hottie hero.
Sound like a great start to a novel? It is!
I loved Megan from the start. She is strong, witty, smart,
snarky and has major anger issues that lead to some entertaining fights.
A story by Melissa Haag is not complete without a few hot
guys. Fenris, the charming wolf-shifter, is awesome. He’s cocky, sexy, and has
his own harem, but there’s a softer side to this alpha-wolf. Can’t wait to see
more of him.
Oanen is every girl’s dream guy: tall, blonde, big muscles,
and super protective. He commands the attention and respect of everyone, but
tens to irritate Megan a little. He also is a hugger. ;0)
Eliana is the best friend everyone should have. She is super
sweet, loyal, fun, protective and has a way with men. I look forward to seeing
more from her. She also teams up with Megan against the Mean girls group.
This book has it all angst, mystery, danger, humor and
romance. I liked that the mystery unfolded slowly throughout the book and we
had to find out information along with Megan. I cannot wait for book two.
