When you hate someone, with all that you are, in high school; so much that you leave your home town to get away from them, can you ever come back ?
Ten years after doing just that Garrison Beckett has returned for his high school reunion and is looking forward to facing off with his nemesis, Bridget Warner, who made his life hell throughout his graduation year. Now he wants her to see the strong, confident Marine he has matured into, so different from the painfully shy, intimidated boy he was..
This is a wonderful love story that will tear at your heart strings and make you believe that we can all recover from past hurts and pain. When the two antagonists finally do meet, their reaction to each other surprises even themselves. Can they move on from the past, can they find the happiness that they have both been denied? Despite forces working hard to prevent their futures, both want to try and replace the old with a newer, stronger relationship. Their coming together becomes hot and steamy which draws them closer emotionally.
This is a lovely feel good love story that will hold your emotions and make you cheer for them as they work towards a better future, together, despite misunderstandings and interference from others..
This author has a lovely style of writing which is easy to be drawn into, very few typo errors and an emotional journey for two slightly damaged people. A wonderful, small town romance.
