I am reviewing this book for Late Night Books and Reviews.

After reading and reviewing Lady J's first book in this series (Forever Marked) I was very happy to be asked to also give my opinion on this second installment of the story.

This book does, indeed continue the story of Ellora, Behr and the islanders of Skye in Scotland continuing their relationships and Ellora's terror of Dalton The psychotic monster is still very much in the forefront of her mind, and he is still obsessing over her, but there are now new characters drawn into the mix with surprising consequences.

We did in fact meet Giddeon and Detective Dominick Antonelli in the first book but now Giddeon has met his 'Angel', Evangelina, who has her own demons to vanquish. This disturbed man has an overwhelming need to resolve his anger issues and become the man his angel needs him to be but fears that he is not capable of changing at this late date. His obsession with his believed failure to protect or avenge his parents deaths at the tender age of 6, still defines him and his emotional psyche. Their journey to understanding each others insecurities, is a loving and very emotional one that is handled beautifully by the author.

There is still the violent intrusion of Dalton in everyone's lives and the threat that he represents to everyone's sanity and indeed their very lives.
In this book, we have a perfect blend of violence, fear and betrayal alongside the loving relationships and peace loving existence of the characters.

Be prepared for a roller-coaster ride that is the second installment of Lady J's story but know that you will still need to follow up with yet a third episode to bring the events to a conclusion. Personally, I can't wait!
