Review of Revival by Jena Leigh

Reviewed by The Magic of Books Admin, Char Webster

Revival by Jena Leigh, the first book in the Variant Series, follows the adventures of Alexandra Parker as she discovers a hidden world where humans have developed special abilities.

Alex suffered a traumatic experience that changed her life forever. She had thought catching her boyfriend making out with another girl was bad, and shorting out electronics wherever she goes, but an evil guy is trying to kill her. Luckily for Alex, a hottie named, Declan, was there to rescue her, but he also shattered her reality by introducing her to the variant world.

Alex is a complex character, not wanting to stand up for herself, but willing to go to battle to save her friends and family. She is loyal, caring and fun.

Declan and Nate are two hottie variants who help Alex learn about her special powers. Nate is the nicer one who she hangs out with, but has some sort of secret. Declan is the mysterious, brooding and moody guy females love who starts out cranky, but turns out to be so awesome. They are both fun, charming and have a tendency to find trouble. Kenzie, Cassie and Aiden were also a lot of fun in this book.

This was a fun book with lots of mystery and action. It left me wanting more and I will be reading the second one in the series. I am hoping for some more romance in the next book.

Four STARS  * * * *
